Rally in the Valley-Burnout Competition

Many of my loyal blog watchers have never seen such an amazing way to spend the day. Back where I come from we call this "spraying for mosquitos" but here in Valley City, we call this the Annual Bridge City Cruisers Burnout Competition.
Cool people come from all around to show off their sweet rides and their even sweeter ability to power-brake the competition into a cloud of white smoke.
Have I ever mentioned that I live for this stuff? Well, people...I DO! It brings me back to the days when my dad (probably the worlds best power-braker) used to smoke up the attached garage on my parents house just to get a rise out of my mom. My brother and I thought it was the coolest thing we've ever seen. I guess you can say I still do.
Thanks to all the drivers who wrecked perfectly good sets of tires just to get us all jazzed up during the competition.
Here is to legal exhibition driving! Keep on squeelin'! WHOOO HOOO!

Rally in the Valley Burnout- Blowout

I promised this guy I would post this as soon as I had a spare second. I really don't have a "spare second" but I figured due to his financial loss at the event (of one perfectly good wheel) I better give him something to smile about.
The following images portray the sad end to one loyal radial tire. These images document the brutal death of the left rear wheel.
Please be advised.

Shana Take 2- Trash the Dress!

It's not everyday that you get to do something that totally and completely knocks a persons socks off. Today, Shana did just that! On her second session of three for her rockin'-tabulus senior portraits, she decided that she wanted to do something completely different. Well, my dear Shana, you did!
The "Trash the Dress" program at Paurus Design is in its infancy and due to many of our brides opting out of this amazingly kick-your-butteded-ness of an add on option to our sweet wedding package we've decided to open the doors of coolness and allow some of our other incredible clients the opportunity to put their own spin on things.
What better way to say goodbye to a dress that your kids will make fun of in 15 years anyway!
Thanks so much Shana, you rock our world and will remain one of the coolest of all time on our wall of fame!

2007 Dakota Riders Hill Climb

FINALLY!
I figured after I had gotten 32 emails about "When are the Hill Climb photos going to be up?" I should probably make it top of my list for the day.
So here you go my good people of the blog!
For those of you that have never had the opportunity to experience such an adrenaline charged event, let me just tell you. YOU HAVE TO BE THERE NEXT YEAR!
The Dakota Riders do such an amazing job of putting on such an organized event. They truly are the heroes of the day as you can see in the following photos..they really do put themselves on the line to help keep these people safe as they put on a show for the spectators and the future riders. They literally burned themselves to a crisp and hung out on the million degree hill all day long, wait....so did I! The burnt ears and peeling shoulders were totally worth it though, and I know you will all agree...These photos totally kick some hill climbing butt! (sorry peoples...this is a G rated blog) HaHa!
I have to admit it was the little tykes that stole the show. I think C-Dub needs to get himself a set of high-powered wheels for his first birthday!
Peace to my guys with the Dakota Riders, thanks for the laughs and all the disgusting memories!
Enjoy the photos, the rest will be up in a few days as soon as we finish the other galleries in progress. As always, its great to see so many people checking us out, that's why I saved the best image for last....I call it...."For all the Ladies".
You all ROCKED!

p.s. don't forget to check out the "Dakota Riders Hill Climb- Postponed" entry to see the sweet muddy shots of all the bikes.

C-Dub and the stairs!

I had a demanding request that there hasn't been an updated image of C-Dub in some time and I should "Get to it!".
Well, here you go! And just for our super good friend and loyal blog watcher Lindsey, he is without clothing!
It just blows my mind how fast he's grown up, and now that he is crazy busy "toddling" around the house, I just can't keep anything picked up.
But, the photographs pretty much explain it. One flash of those baby blues and mommy will pretty much forgive anything he's done!

Rally in the Valley- Street Dance

This is the first post of many of the Rally in the Valley assignment. We've had LOTS of requests from people wondering when their images were going to be up. The answer to this is VERY SOON! We are almost finished and will begin the massive project to posting all your awesome images!
Here are just a few rockin' snaps of the Street Dance. Our favorite is the second to the last image...because it appears as though the street light exploded. We couldn't have set that one up any better if we tried!
Enjoy everyone and may you have patience as we finish the rest!
Thanks again to all of you. You make our jobs a ton of fun!

Mercil

Once I made my way to the bottom of the watter logged hill at the postponed Dakota Rider's Hill Climb, I happened to come across some of the cutest kids and their dog making the best of a bad situation. It had rained so much that the river swelled and the island was under water. The Mercil kids boogied and showed the sad adults how to turn lemons into lemonade!
Their parents (and the super awesome dog) made the trek all the way from Red Lake Falls only to turn around and go home. :(
Hopefully they are able to make it back this Sunday for the re-do. It would be super-fun to see them again and possibly take some "Muddy Kid" shots whilst we are at the hill! (hint, hint)
Hope you can make it back!
Enjoy your amazing shots of your ultra beautiful kids!
