VCHS 2007

Well, I officially feel old.
Aleisha and I spent a good part of the night last Saturday catching some beautiful candid shots at the VCHS prom. I about fell on the ground when I learned that some of the people attending prom were born in 1991!!! Say it with me people...."Good Lord!"
I clearly remember back in 1991 wearing my sweet acid washed jeans and big bangs while listening to the Metallica Black Album. And don't forget my 1984 black hard top mustang! Man, do I love Mustangs.
Next year...prom photos that totally rock for everyone!

Counts

This particular shoot yielded one of my favorite photographs this far. The very first image in this post of the family is probably one of the best family photos I have ever taken. In a split second I managed to capture all the emotions of a new and beautiful family.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Lemieux

I had the privelage to take some smoking photographs today, good thing I had a firefighter on the premisis. haha - yeah that was totally uncalled for. I did however take some cool pics with Mom and Dad in their firefighter jackets...it made for cool props. Poor little Colin wasn't feeling so good, but did a bang-up job on being cute anyways. Here you go guys...you looked AWESOME!

Pfeifer Brothers

The "Paurus Ron-day-voose" headed out to the Pfeifer Farm this weekend to shoot the very tallented and charming Pfeifer Brothers. I have to admit, I may have had more fun than they did. Each one of them had such a unique and fun personality which made the time...and the photographs go by so quickly. Thanks for such a fun time guys...you ROCKED!

Mom turns 50

So...I did something completely insane this weekend. My siblings and I decided to throw my mom a killer 50th birthday celebration. Well, that part isn't so insane, but the fact that I'm so damned cheap to pay $50.oo for a stupid sheet cake and would decide to make a "designer" cake myself is!
NINE HOURS LATER, the finished product actually turned out exactly the way I pictured it in my head. I guess they call me the Chronic Creativity for a reason.

So here is the breakdown of the three tier "Birthday Cake"
Top Layer ...german chocolate
Middle Layer...chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream cheese filling
Bottom Layer...Yellow cake with whipped cream cheese filling
Orange zest butter cream frosting
Marzipan embellishments rolled and cut by hand, hand painted with edible gold dust.
Hand crafted white chocolate swirls dusted with gold.
Transported to the venue under a tarp because of the damned rain!
Needless to say, I was pretty happy at my very first attempt at a tier cake.

And just so you know its actually MY cake...you can see my mom and son in the second photo!!
